Under the Sea

Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collection's complete? Sorry I just had to.  Actually, Ariel will complete the Disney Princess collection by Sephora.

I am so happy that Sephora and Disney made an Ariel collection because she is my favorite. I was so excited when I saw the promo video that I kept watching it over and over again in anticipation. When I saw the UPS man holding my Sephora box I immediately tackled him, grabbed the box, and tore into it. Then holding my Ariel palette like it was gold I went ooooh and ahhhh. The moment I got this palette home I dug out my DVD of the Little Mermaid to play in the background while I write this post. So without further ado, here it is: The Disney Ariel Storylook Palette Vol. 3 by Sephora.

This is the outer box.

This is the inner box with the eyeshadows. The eyeshadow pan is removable so the you can use the velvet lined box underneath to store jewelry or keepsakes or what have you.

The case not only has silver embossing, but is also holographic.

Blue Lagoon is a shimmery dark aqua; Scuttle is a shimmery pink gold; Flounder is a matte pale orange beige

Sebastian is a matte pale coral pink; Flotsam is a shimmery blue-black

Sea Shells is a shimmery white gold; Les Poissons is a satin medium brown; Caspian Sea is a shimmery teal green

Your Voice is a glittery silver; Unfortunate Souls is a matte grey

Atlantica is a shimmery sea foam green; Fins is a glittery medium green; Sick of Swimmin' is a sheer shimmery white with green opal effect

Ursula is a plum pearl; Sha La La is a matte burgundy/berry/wine

Triton is a glittery yellow gold; Wanderin' Free is a shimmery light bronze; Jetsam is a black with dark teal glitter

Sea Witch is a purple pearl; Treasures Untold is a champagne with pink opal effect

I was hoping for more blues in this palette but I am happy with the selection. The colors are all soft and nicely pigmented. I will be experimenting to try and recreate the looks in the promo video.

As of right now this palette is sold-out on Sephora.com but should be available again by the end of June when the full collection releases. I can't wait for the rest of the collection!  

It was announced that the collection will not be available in stores until August.

The Disney Ariel Storylook Palette retails for $55.00 on Sephora.com.  You get 20 eyeshadows for this price which equates to $2.75 per eyeshadow which is a good deal.

Sephora announced on their Facebook page that this will be the last of Disney Princess collections which is sad because I wanted to collect them all;  Some were saying that it was because they did not sell well which is strange because they almost always sell out in the beginning.  I missed out on the Cinderella palette because I waited to see if it would go on sale and it never did.  It seems that as soon as the next princess collection comes out the old ones are fazed out (So now is a good time to buy up the old collections before they are gone!)
