Amazonian clay finishing powder

This is not a new product for tarte, but the limited edition packaging made it a must have to go with this collection.

I had not tried this product previously as tarte is relatively new brand to me, but I can say that I have been impressed by their products so far. For a natural makeup company, their offerings are rivaling more traditional manufacturers at this price point.

The inner pot features the Aqualillies design without the gold on the scales. A little disappointing considering this was a purchase just for the LE packaging.

Most notable about this finishing powder is the packaging. Inside the pot is a little plastic stopper that keeps the product from letting loose all over the inside of the cup during travel. However, I am not particularly pleased with the fact that there is only one little hole through which you shake out the product into the cap for application. I think it is supposed to control the amount of powder so you don't over apply, but ... well, that's just not my preference.  I could always remove the plastic divider to get as much powder as I please, but that seems like so much work for the lazy maven.

I am quite pleased with this product. The translucent micro powder is not too powdery and leaves a natural finish. It is not waterproof just in case you were wondering. I made the mistake of not reading the package first and wearing this in the pool only to end up with a weird white muck all over my face. DO NOT wear this in the water! LOL It was pretty gross but easy to wipe off.
