Birchbox Home Snow Day Box

It has been a long time since I ordered a Birchbox, but this season's limited edition box looked too good to pass up.

The Snow Day box is sold under the Birchbox Home section and includes seasonally appropriate cold weather items to make your home even more cozy.

In the Snow Day envelope shown above, there are some cards featuring different things. There is a card describing the items in the box as is usual with most Birchboxes, a card that gives you tips on the Internet game "Words with Friends" for when you can't play Scrabble in person, a card with book suggestions for when you want to curl up with a good read, a card that tells you how to have a perfect at-home spa day, and a card that gives you suggestions on other cold weather items to buy.

The box is packaged nicely with white crinkles for a snowy touch.

I am not sure what makes the Jonathan Adler Fireplace Matches special other than the printed box they come in.

The socks I received have a pink zebra print.

The Mox Botanicals body soak smells really good and I can't wait to try it.

I received a cinnamon flavored lip balm which is moisturizing and does not make my lips burn (most cinnamon products do.)

The hand cream is really moisturizing and will make a nice addition to my purse.

The two Chantecaille products smell like their respective scents and will make for lovely spa-day items.

The cocoa powder is good for drinking and baking. I will most likely use it to make hot chocolate with the marshmallows.

When I pulled that votive out of the box and saw the scent I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants.  This is definitely not a scent I would pick out for myself or others (cause that's what I need my house to smell like ha ha.)  Luckily, this does not smell like cannabis (don't ask how I know that);  It smells like heavy herbs but not those kind of herbs.  There is no cannabis or even hemp oils listed on the box as the scent notes either.  The "top notes are orange and lemon; middle notes of fig and pepper; base notes of sandalwood and patchouli; paired with fresh neroli."  It smells nice enough and reminds me of the woods in winter.

The Birchbox Edition Scrabble is a two-player travel version;  You could always play with however many people you want though.  It is mini and cute and it will be fun to play!
